Enharmonie Chamber Ensemble is a Brisbane-based chamber ensemble with principal players Allan Hall (cello) and Tertia Hogan (piano). In concert ECE is often augmented by guest artists (violin, viola, voice, and for some programmes, a narrator). ECE aims to bring classical music to life for a range of audiences, performing instrumental recital programs and shows with an element of theatre, with story and song complementing the music.

A Musical Union - The Europeans in London

We are once again very proud to be part of the 4MBS Festival of Classics, which this year takes as its theme The British Connection, the music and musicians of the British Isles. Join us on Sunday June 11 as we present A Musical Union - The Europeans in London, a programme which explores the British influence on the music of 18th and 19th century European composers through works by Mendelssohn, Haydn, Beethoven and others. We are very pleased to welcome back as guest artists for this concert the flautist Lee Norrell and the tenor Bernard Wheaton.

A Musical Union features the Haydn Flute Trio Hob XV No 15, the Mendelssohn Variations on The Last Rose of Summer, and Romances on texts by Robert Burns for piano and tenor. The programme also includes a selection of Beethoven’s arrangements of songs from Scotland, Wales and Ireland, and works by Max Bruch, Nicholson and others. Join us for a wonderful afternoon of music at this beautiful venue.
